The farmer initially put the corpse in a freezer, police in a German town said, and told curious locals(好奇的當地人) the old man was in a nursing home.

8.          China isn't keen to(渴望) expand(擴大) its trade surplus(貿易順差) with the United States, Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing(李肇星) said Tuesday, although he contended that exports of Chinese-made fake Christmas trees(人工耶誕樹) were but one of many benefits of expanded trade. Trade with China has helped create between 4 million and 8 million jobs(創造四百萬到八百萬工作機會) in the U.S.

9.           The Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday said a sum of US$13 million(相當台幣四億元) paid by Taiwan to Nauru(諾魯共和國--面積: 8.11平方英里;人口:13,287) to cover the South Pacific nation's debts was part of an existing yearly aid program, playing down(低調處理) fears of dollar diplomacy(金援外交).

10.      Foreign Affairs spokesman Michel Lu(外交部發言人呂慶龍) said Taiwan legitimately donated US$10 million for Nauru to buy back(買回) Air Nauru's sole airplane, which was seized by Australia last year after Nauru could not pay its loans to the U.S. Import-Export Bank(進出口銀行).
