1. Suzanne：你為什麼只買了三本筆記本? 我知道你修了六門課。

Darren：我是呀，可是我已經有一個三孔活頁夾，也可以用來記筆記。

Suzanne：   Why are you buying only three notebooks?  I thought you were takin six classes.

Darren：I am, but I’ve got a three-ring binder that I can use for notes, too.

2. Darren：我的印表機須要印表紙和墨水。請問你知道印表用品放在哪裡嗎?

Suzanne：我想它們在第六走道。

Darren    Darren：I need printer paper and toner for my printer. Do you know where the
                   printing supplies are?

Suzanne：They’re in aisle six, I think.

3. Darren：經濟學課本全都賣完了。我該怎麼辦?

    Suzanne：別擔心。書店已經又多預訂了。
    Darren：The economics textbooks are all sold out. What am I going to do?

Suzanne：Don’t worry. The bookstore’s already ordered more.

4. Suzanne：我已經買了一整盒的螢光筆你要甚麼顏色?

Darr     Darren：別笑喔，不過我需要兩隻：我用黃色塗細節部份，綠色塗一般概   念。

Suzanne：I’ve bought a whole box of highlighters.  What color do you want?

Darren：     Darren: Don’t laugh, but I need two; I use yellow for details and green for general

                   concepts.

5. Darren：你要原子筆還是簽字筆?

Suzanne：原子筆。而且要藍色，不要上次的黑色，好嗎?

Darren：Do you want ballpoint or felt-tip pens?

Suzanne：Ballpoint.  And get blue, not black like last time, OK?

6. Suzanne：你真的要買Evans教授建議閱讀書單上的每一本書嗎?

Darren：嗯，我這學期有書費獎學金，而且我一定得用掉它。

Suzann     Suzanne：Are you really going to buy every book on Prof. Evans’s suggested     
                      reading list?

Darren     Darren: Well, I got a book grant this semester, and I’ve got to spend it on
                   something.

7. Darren：我想買檔案夾給你，可是他們賣完了。

Suzanne：沒關係。等開學熱潮過了之後，我們會買到的。

Darren：I tried to buy some folders for you, but they’re out of stock.

Suzanne：That’s OK. We’ll get them after the beginning-of-semester rush.

8. Suzanne：嗨，別忘了買一瓶立可白。

Darren：     Darren: 你知道的，如果你會不看鍵盤打字，而且用電腦上的拼字校正，你

              不會需要那種東西。

Suzanne：Hey, don’t forget to get a bottle of white-out.

Darren：     Darren: If you have  learned to touch-type and use the spell-checker on your

                   computer, you won’t need so much of that stuff, you know.

9. Darren：喔，我需要圖表紙，上經濟學課的時候用。

Suzanne：那你最好也帶一把尺。

Darren：Oh, I need graph paper for my economics class.

Suzanne：You’d better get a ruler, too, then.

10. Suzanne：就算有了學生折扣，帳單還是幾乎要300美金。

Darren：和學費比起來，這算不了甚麼。

Suzanne: Even with the student discount, the bill came to almost $300!

Darren: Well, that’s nothing, compared to tuition.
